ABOUT

Lower Claverham is a 16th century farmhouse on a working dairy farm.  The property is ideal for walkers and cyclists. We are close to Bede's Senior School, Charleston, Glyndebourne and the South Downs.

OUR ROOMS

We have two rooms - a king-size double and a twin. Both rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, TV, Wifi, hairdryers, local tourist information & magazines

Monday to Friday 7:30am to 9am

Saturday & Sunday 8am to 9:30am

Full English Breakfast or a lighter alternative.

Garden

 

The garden has a picnic table which guests are welcome to use or enjoy sitting beside our pond watching the ducks.

Taxi Service

 

We can arrange transport to Bede's Senior School, Glyndebourne or other destinations.

Free Wifi

 

There is free wifi in our rooms.

Daily Housekeeping

 

Please help the environment and re-use towels, if they need changing please leave on the floor.

We are close to Charleston, Michelham Priory, Sheffield Park, Herstmonceux Castle, Arlington Speedway, The Clergy House,  and Anne of Cleves House.

Walks

 

We are a 5 minute drive to the South Downs National Park ,or you can walk footpaths straight from the farmhouse. Arlington Bluebell  Woods are  a 5 minute drive away.

Local Towns/Villages

 

 We are close to the County town of Lewes, the seaside towns of Eastbourne, Brighton and Seaford. We are also close to the picturesque villages of Alfriston,Chiddingly, Berwick and many more....

Glyndebourne

 

We are a 15 minute drive from Glyndebourne & can arrange a taxi for you.

Entertainment

 

Cinema in Hailsham or Theatres in Eastbourne or Brighton.

Eating Out

 

Just a short drive away are several nice pubs; The Plough, The Cricketers, The Sussex Ox and

The Gun.
